7th heaven! Spurs transfer spree.

As a new spurs fan (roughly during Redknapp revolution), you should know how levy and transfers don't really match. Before this, we cried for strikers to be signed, and moves for players like Leandro Damiao and Willian were all but just talks during Redknapp time. Its a one way trip for us though, Modric leaving, Van der vaart leaving, and all of my favourite players are leaving. 11/12 season was the time when, our lack of strikers cost us one point short of bitter rivals arsenal and causes us to miss the champions league. Although Gareth bale really shines during this time, but really a lack of striker was an issue for spurs. Arrival of Adebayor last season didn't really help. This season, Levy and the board perhaps are done chasing dust of arsenal. Seeing the potential of AVB, and the imminent transfer of gareth bale, he gives AVB the green light to bring in the replacements for spurs. Now as a spurs fan, this really delighted me, as high profile signings were made. Come the first trio, Paulinho, Soldado, Chadli, followed by Capoue. Paulinho is a class midfielder and a great addition to our team. Soldado is one of spain great goalscorer and a reputable striker. He is a natural striker, not a poacher like Defoe. He reminds me of Berbatov, but much more intelligent in pace control. He doesn't waste his movement and preserve energy only to score goals. Chadli is also another midfielder and can play on the left flank providing cross to Soldado, and Capoue is like Scott Parker but with more pace and power.

Two fixtures done..

During the first two games, both goals came from soldado penalty. Our fan concerns about the lack of link up between midfielders and soldado, and lack the creative type player needed to feed soldado. Then, Levy does his magic again, this time bringing striker Lamela and the creative midfielder we need, which is Eriksen. Also we managed to bring in Vlad chichires "the impaler", to complement our back four. Mind you these are all quality signings, and I can't wait to see how the formation against our important North London derby this sunday. Wenger continues to taunt us about how Gareth bale leaving is gonna affect us and instability by bringing more players. Looks to us that he is scared by the potential that spurs have this season. We are proving that we are not a one man team, and all these additions can make a squad of great depth. Last season we complained about how the europa league fixtures making us tired of the BPL fixtures. With all these players, we can rotate our players and keep a second really strong team as well.

North London Derby

Heads up wenger, its not gonna be the same as last year. AVB learns his mistake and errors, and continue to make improvement. And you on the other hand can keep the war chest to yourself and sign back all your past players. Even if we do lose the game, it is because our team is not yet accustomed to each other. But with the close of the transfer window, give it a month or two for AVB to sort out his formations,.. hell we should be scaring the top teams too. COYS

Goodbye, Gareth.

It is the inevitable. My favourite spurs player of all time is leaving spurs. Your presence, your thundering runs, your beautiful crosses, and thunderbolt strikes are sure to be missed. Frankly last season, we would drift to middle table if it not for you. Even I started watching every spurs game during your time with modric and van der vaart. Goodluck there in spain, and who knows, when you are at the peak of your age (30-31), you may want to come back to spurs and retire here. Here's to that invinsible no. 11.
